Gurdas Mann seriously injured in road accident

Well-known Punjabi pop singer Gurdas Mann was severely injured in a car accident Tuesday, while his driver Tejpal Singh died on the spot near village Seona Majra in Ropar district, about 35 km from Chandigarh.

Mann, who had performed Monday night along with other folk artistes at Punjab University campus in Chandigarh, was going towards Ropar when his vehicle collided with a truck at around 1500 hrs, police said.

Physicians attending on Mann at the Sector 32 Civil Hospital emergency ward refused to provide details about his condition.

Mann has sustained severe head injuries, police added.
