11-year-old is world's youngest
software engineer

Jay Brahmbhatt, an eleven-and-a-half-year-old student of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Vadodara district of Gujarat, has become the youngest software engineer in the world.

Jay broke the record held by 12-year-old Pakistani Sheeza Ahmed.

Jay successfully completed the Microsoft Certified System Engineer programme.

''I want to complete all Information Technology related courses. My ambition is to become a top-level software engineer,'' Jay said.

The course is offered by Microsoft Corporation and Jay successfully fulfilled the requirements for the MCSE certificate programme, which is considered a premier international certification offered by the company.
