Intense fog on Friday threw normal life in the capital out of gear and also disrupted the air traffic.
Several incoming and outgoing flights were delayed despite the fact that the domestic terminal has the CAT-IIIA instrument landing system, which enables aircraft landing in thick fog.
The rail traffic was also thrown out of gear with several trains coming into or going out of Delhi running late.
The fog was a resultant of dry spell of winter and was expected to remain for some time, the meteorological office sources said.
