Gujarat Minister of State for Home Gordhanbhai Jadafia told reporters in Gandhinagar that the seizure was made on Wednesday afternoon near Hajipur village following interrogation of a person, who has been detained by the police.
An AK-47 rifle and detonation fuse wires were also seized.
Additional Chief Secretary V V R Subba Rao said the RDX and firearms were suspected to have been smuggled in from across the border.
A person was being interrogated in this connection, Subba Rao said adding the seizure was made during combing operations.
This was the third major seizure of explosives and firearms from the Rann of Kutch, he said adding the consignment might have been smuggled via Rajasthan.
