Pakistan has urged the international community to persuade India for resumption of talks between the two countries to resolve all outstanding issues, including Kashmir.
The international community should render help in kickstarting the dialogue between India and Pakistan, Foreign Office spokesman Aziz Ahmed Khan said on Wednesday.
"It should persuade India to agree to talks and seek solution to all the outstanding issues, especially the Kashmir issue, which is the core issue," he said.
Replying to a question, Khan told BBC in Islamabad that Pakistan was ready for a meeting between President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation summit in Kathmandu next month.
He rejected the Indian allegation of Pakistan aiding cross-border terrorism in Kashmir.
Such allegations were not based on reality, he said, adding that the facts on the ground situation could be ascertained by observers from the United Nations or the international community.
