India is Putin's 'most
preferred destination'

Russian President Putin admires Napoleon Bonaparte the most, is inspired by Charles De Gaulle and takes India as his most preferred destination, reveals his biography First Person Conversation With Vladimir Putin.

At the onset of his visit to India, the daily Rossisskaya Gazeta, quoting scripts from the book said that India has been Putin's most preferred place of visit since his early days.

Little known outside Russia before his ascendancy to presidency, Putin was even questioned about his identity at Davos' forum of world's leading economists just two months before assuming the country's highest office, adds the daily.

The book, dwelling on the delicate topics of his personal attributes to serious matters like Chechnya, Yugoslavia, relations with Nato and his sudden catapult to the president's post, notes with finesse his cautious approach, even while taking daring steps, in dealing with problems staring him in the face.

Compiled by Natalya Gevorkyan, Natalya Timakova and Anorei Kolecnikov, the book sketches Putin's kaleidoscopic views about people, places and politics besides answering several unhitherto known queries on himself.
