Two killed in Amritsar blast

Two people were killed and many others were injured in an explosion in Amritsar on Tuesday afternoon.

The police have not confirmed whether it was a bomb or a gas cylinder that exploded. But, eye-witnesses said that a building crashed with the impact.

Rescue operations are underway.

The blast occurred near an office of the Bajrang Dal and the victims were said to be labourers working at a workshop making idols for Dassera.
