Fresh tremors in Bhavnagar: PTI

Two fresh tremors rocked the coastal belt of Bhavnagar distirct in Gujarat early on Thursday, official sources said in Ahmedabad.

However, their intensity was not immediately known and no damage has been reported till now, sources said.

The district experienced two earthquakes of mild intensity in the last two days.

Panic gripped the residents of Bhavnagar city, where 50 houses were damaged in Tuesday's quake, sources said.

The police authorities in Gandhinagar have rushed two companies of State Reserve Police Force to assist the local administration in maintaining law and order.

A two-member team of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), including deputy director general S M Bhattacharya, was engaged in a seismic survey of the district.
