E-Mail this report to a friend

The Indian Navy will launch its latest series of sophisticated missile boats fitted with state-of-the-art detection systems and multi-sensors on September 23 at the Mazagaon Docks in Bombay.

The MDL Yard 14794 is the seventh of the indigenously built 12141RE class of ships.

Propelled by four high power gas turbines, the new ship will be a modernised version of the previous vessel of the same class having greater indigenous content and more advanced weapons and sensors.

The Fast Attack Craft, INS Trinket, will be commissioned at Vishakapatnam on September 23 by Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lt Governor I P Gupta. The Trinket is intended for patrol duties in coastal waters and island territories.
