Six Communist Party of India-ML supporters were killed in two villages under Tarari bloc of Bhojpur district on Saturday night.

According to director general of police K A Jacob, three people died in each village.

The situation is tense but under control, he claimed. However, he said that investigations were on whether any extremist outfit was behind the attacks. Bodies of the victims have been recovered, he added.

The CPI-ML has blamed the Ranvir Sena, the dreaded army of landed farmers for the killings.
