Vajpayee walking twice a day: PTI

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is ready to leave for New Delhi on Sunday, has started taking walks for 15 to 20 minutes a day, just ten days after his left knee joint replacement surgery at Breach Candy Hospital in Bombay.

Vajpayee, who is to be discharged on October 22, will leave for Delhi by a special Indian Air Force flight at 1 pm, Information and Technology Minister Pramod Mahajan told PTI on Friday.

"Vajpayee is progressing well and had his regular exercises and physiotherapy, took a walk for 15 to 20 minutes Thursday evening and Friday morning apart from attending to official work," according to PMO sources.
