Sitaram Kesri's condition improves

The condition of former Congress president Sitaram Kesri, who was shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Wednesday, is showing signs of improvement, hospital sources said.

The 84-year-old leader was shifted this afternoon to the AB-8 Intensive Care Unit of AIIMS from the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he had been undergoing treatment since October 12.

Kesri was admitted to the RML Hospital for treatment of a fractured leg but was shifted to the ICU the following day after he developed breathing problem.

Kesri, who was put on ventilator on October 13, was relieved of the support system on Tuesday after his condition improved.
