Petrol traders threaten stir from Oct 6: PTI

In a statement, FAMPEDA president A S Dikshit said the decision was taken by the managing committee of the Federation of All India Petrol Traders that met in New Delhi.

He said the strike was in response to alleged inaction of oil companies and minister for petroleum and natural gases despite repeated assurances that he would resolve all demands and grievances.

Their demands include instructing the oil companies to provide octane testers/markers system, mini labs at all dealer retailer outlets, increase in dealer commission and temperature variation allowance.

Representatives of FAIPT were assured by Union Petroleum Minister Ram Naik on July 12 last that he would resolve all grievances within 15 days of receiving a final written representation from them.
