associate and co-director of programs at the Institute on Race and
Poverty, University of Minnesota. A native of Kanyakumari district in
Tamil Nadu, he is engaged in an unorganised struggle against the
project. He terms the nuclear power programme a "money-wasting

Director V K Chaturvedi is responsible for all nuclear power
plants in India. Chaturvedi scoffs at the allegation that our plants do
