Four fodder scam accused surrender

Four suppliers surrendered before the court of designated Central Bureau of Investigation judge S K Pathak in connection with the fodder scam cases in Bihar.

Three of the accused - Harish Khanna, Rajan Mehta, Rajesh Verma - were remanded to judicial custody while Madhu Mehta was granted bail.

While Harish Rajan surrendered before the court in case no. Rc-5 (a) 2000, the other two gave themselves up in connection with case no. C 53 (a)/96 of the fodder scam.

Both the cases relate to fraudulent withdrawals of millions of rupees from state treasuries by state animal husbandry department officials.
