Message: I knew it that Mr.Bill will visit pak. He ans almost all US presidents have favoured pak as it can never be a danger to US supremacy(the are too small and unintelligent to become). The hesitation shown was only due to the current situation in pakistan(not kargil, no inflitration but the coup. The US president going to pakistan has given the mushrraff regime the required so called legitimacy. But india has a morale victory as US has shown some resistance never shown in the past. We should be happy for the way US department behaved. (Its very tough not to favour whom you have favored so openly in the past)

Message: For last 50 years US has played Zero-sum game with india and pakistan.
It always tried to treat both contries equal. But the scenario has
changed a lot after end of cold war. Now US has no interests in Pakistan, but concerns of globl terrorism and clandestine spread of nuclear technology. Without effective external intervention Pakistan is in danger of disintegration and turning into a rouge state. If any country can influance and stop Pakistan from disintegration and passing on nuclear technology to other rouge contries, it is US.
So as a sole super power US is doing right thing by engaging Pakistatn. Stable Pakistan is what needed by world, especially India. India also believes on same lines, that is why its responce to Presidents visit to Pakistan has been so mature.

Message: India has to take maximum gain with Clinton's visit after all he is the supream political commander of the only existing SuperPower.
Clinton as a US president has all rights to visit Pak and India should not be in the impression that it is a setback to her by understanding the fact that Pak has better relations with US than India from so many years.
Afetr all US always wants and trys to gain more than their small counerparts in all its endeavours.
Indian Govt has to make sure that US President should take their present stand on J&K and in no way Clinton deviate from their existing stand.
We should make US feel and consider India as one of their best Friend.
We must stick to our stand on CTBT.
Since he is our Guest we should make him feel touched and when he leave he should carry rich memories of our Culture.

Message: There is no harm on Clinton
visiting Pakistan. Do not
conclude that iam a Pakistani
..iam an Indian.
The schedule of the trip
clearly indicates that the
focus of the trip is only
India; this is the first whip
against Pervez. And this is an
indirect message to Pervez to
restore to democracy and stop
aiding the terrorists.
In his brief-stopover,
Clinton is not going to
appreciate or have any
business done with Pervez;
Everybody knows this
and then why should we ( the
Indians ) should make it a
big issue.
If Clinton neglects Pakistan
completely, then it would be a
fact that Kashmir is a
dangerous place in earth;
Because Pervez won't hesitate
to load nuclear war-heads in his missiles
pointed towards India.
So let us feel content on
Clinton's understanding of
India's position.

Message: I believe the Clinto`s vistit to the Indian sub-continet would bring about a lasting peace in the area which is turning to be the hostest spot on the planet and there is great danger of flare up over Kashmir.
I hope the leaders in the region would give up their rigid attitudes and address their core and historic issues. Once the main issues are target and the region would emerge as a potential area for development and economic activity.
I see in Clinton`s visit a ray of hope for the people of region in general and the oppressed and tyranised people especially Kashmiris in particular. The America has the guts, means and the world standing to force the two
countries to engage meaningfully with each other and solve the long pending issues and to save the sub-continent from impending nuclear dissaster.

US president's visit to India
is matter of real importance.
We all know how US has become super
power after the debacle of USSR. so
we cant hide this reality and ignore
US. We need to relook into our foreign
policy and it should be towards having
better relationship with US.I think we
made blunder mistake by ignoring US
all these 50 years..
And having country like pakistan as our
neighbour we need to be trusted friend of
US to contain PAK.
And visit to pakistan by US president is matter
of shame to US not india.

Message: It is a great news for India that an American President is visiting the country after 22 years. There is nothing wrong to accept that US is the most powerful country in the world right now in all fields. So it is a great opportunity for India to revive its ecomony (if at all our politicians want) and get other benefits and try to encash as much as possible.
But unfortunately, our media - one of the worst - is not at all interested to discuss the major issues which Indian govt. should concern while Clinton is in India - the important points needed discussions. Instead of that all the leading newspapers are discussing regarding his stay, securities, money spent by Naidu, the list of invitees for dinner, the dilemma of Mr Bajpayee to select his list of invitees as he can't leave any persons of his NDA - is that what is to be done?
In all these stupid things, we are forgetting the actual purpose of the visit. Could our media be more serious and talk about the main points?

Message: First of all, I would like to say that Mr.Bill Clinton must have recognised the immense potential of the Indian Community and the growth of Indian particularly in the IT Industry. I also appreciate the Steps taken by the Indian Government to make this visit as low profile as possible in our Capital. The contribution of Indians immigrated to US cannot be underestimated. So this should be considered as a win-win situation particularly for India.
Today US can no longer remain hostile to India considering her enormous potential for human resources. The visit to Pakistan , i think must be a name-sake visit, considering his visit to Bangladesh. The purpose must be to clearly outline US views towards international terrorism and the enormous role the Pakistan plays in it. India's profound views towards partial treatment of CTBT expressed by the Western Countries towards her, and her confirmed view that surrender of all nuclear arms in a common pool only will then we will/should sign the treaty. So the chance has come for us to make it clear to Mr.President that it is they who are dependent on our human resource potential and their contributions and not us for their technology and the Government should make use of this belief and act accordingly. Thanks Rediff.com for giving me an opportunity to express my views.

Message: Neither clinton could be treated as lameduck nor would his visit to PAK cause any setback to the diplomatic relations with our country. It, however, is aimed at improving bilateral relations. Its good that he goes to PAK after visiting us and clarifies our stand to them and advise them to restore friendly relations. If he can not do so-well it any case would not be able to make any difference to us.

Message: Clinton Visit to India must be accepted by us as an huge opportunity to make good in the international arena. We must grasp the economic advantage through aggressive globalisation possibilities with the help of US. Globalisation is not a dirty word as many of our "swadeshi" and leftist politicians would like us to believe. In fact, if we can play our cards right, globalisation will create unforeseen wealth in this country, lead to unprecedented growth in emloyment and enhance living conditions of all our people, instead of benefits of industry, commerce and agriculture going only to a tiny group of self serving capitalists, rich farmers and cunning politicians as at the present time.
From the political perspective also, we must seize the opportunity of securing a permanent seat in th UN Security Council by acepting Clinton's condition of moving towards a solution of the Kashmir Dispute. I think India should accept the prospect of holding a plebicite there, but under the following conditions.
1) Pakistan must wihdraw from the occupied "Azad" Kashmir, following which India will also remove her own troups from this side of the LOC
2) The referendum should give the people of Kashmir three options: acceding to India or to Pakistan, or becoming a self governed state ( like Bhutan).
3) The Jammu and the Ladak regions of the state should be given the additional options of separating from the state of Jammu and Kashmir and remain as part of India
4) The whole operation of the plebicite should be held under UN auspices, three months after the withdrawl of Indian and Pakistani troops from the state, provided no militant actvity takes place in the meantime.
