Rabri stakes claim in Bihar

Rashtriya Janata Dal legislature party leader Rabri Devi on Wednesday met Bihar Governor Vinod Chandra Pandey and staked her claim to form the next government in the eastern state.

The chief minister staked her claim immediately after her cabinet decided to recommend the dissolution of the assembly following the notification of the constitution of the new assembly, and the listing of new members.

The cabinet, which met earlier in the day, decided to recommend the dissolution of the eleventh assembly, whose tenure was to end on April 9.
