Alleged sorcerer stripped, killed by a mob

A woman labourer was stripped, paraded naked and then beaten to death by a mob on suspicion of practising sorcery, on the outskirts of Nagpur on Sunday, police said.

The police said Tikambai (20) was suspected to have practised black magic on a child, who died recently.

After the child's death, members of the community passed a verdict of stripping and parading the woman, police said.

Nineteen persons, including four women, mostly migrant labourers from a slum locality have been arrested.
