Curfew imposed in parts of AP townA M Khan S Dani in Vijaywada Curfew has been imposed in three police station areas in Guntur district after yesterday's blast in the compound of a mosque. The curfew was imposed in Lala Peta, Kotha Peta and Bus-stand police station areas. Yesterday, a mob burnt down seven buses of the AP State Road Transport Corporation and another 20 buses were damaged after the blast. The condition of two persons, who were injured in yesterday's incident, is reported to be normal. The state government has ordered prohibitory orders under Section 144 in other areas of Guntur district to prevent violence. Yesterday's blast is the fifth such incident in a month in coastal Andhra Pradesh. The first took place on May 21 at Machlipatnam, Krishna district, when a Christian conference was underway. Twenty persons were injured. The second blast took place on May 24, at a temple in Vijaywada district. No one was injured. The third target was the Hongol Church, in the district Hongol headquarters. At least 10 people were injured. The same day, there was another blast in a church at West Godavari, Tadepalligudem. Christian organisations have blamed the Bajrang Dal for earlier blasts, but the Bharatiya Janata Party claims Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence is behind them.
