Internationalise protest: Swamy tells Christians

E-Mail this report to a friend

Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy on Saturday urged Christian leaders to 'go international with their protest' against attacks on churches in various parts of the country.

The community had every right to seek help to combat such 'terrorism' under the International Covenant of Civil and Political Rights enacted by the UN General Assembly and ratified by India in 1978 during the Janata Party regime, Dr Swamy said in a press note.

He offered to file a petition on behalf of the Christian community in the International Court of Justice under the UN Covenants.
