Delhi govt starts sealing polluting units

The Delhi government Monday started sealing polluting industrial units in the capital, Delhi Industry Minister Narender Nath said.

"Nodal agencies are implementing directives and acting according to the orders of the Chief Secretary P S Bhatnagar," Nath said.

Asked what would the government do for those whose industries have been sealed, he said: "I have not received any instructions or directions in this regard. If I get any instruction, I will do it."

The Urban Development Ministry had Sunday directed Delhi government to close down, with immediate effect, the industries which fall under 'F' category in the Master Plan.
