Moderate earthquake in Kerala: PTI

An earthquake of moderate intensity measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale rocked parts of Kerala at 0654 hours on Tuesday, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said in New Delhi.

The epicentre of the quake was recorded at latitude 9.7 degree north and longitude 77.0 degree east, it said.

The tremor, lasting for a few seconds, was felt in Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram and Idukki districts.
