Gujral admitted to Escorts Hospital

Former Prime Minister I K Gujral, who was taken ill in Kathmandu, was rushed to Escorts hospital in New Delhi and admitted in the Intensive Care Unit on Sunday night, family sources said on Monday.

Gujral, who complained of chest pain in Kathmandu where he had gone to attend the first meeting of the Citizen's Commission for South Asia, was flown home on Sunday, the sources said.

"He has undergone all tests, including angio-graphy and a CT scan, the results of which are satisfactory. He is fine," the sources added.

The former prime minister was admitted to Norvic Heart and Research Centre in Kathmandu after he complained of chest pain.
