If Kalyan repents, BJP's doors are open: GuptaUttar Pradesh Chief Minister Ram Prakash Gupta has struck a conciliatory note and said the Bharatiya Janata Party's doors are open to his predecessor and expelled leader Kalyan Singh provided he (Singh) 'accepts his mistake' and stops criticising party leaders. "Kalyan Singh needs to change. If he accepts his mistakes and stops criticising BJP leaders, doors are not closed for anyone forever," Gupta told during the programme Encounter on Zee News to be telecast on Sunday, according to a release from the channel. Gupta was responding to a question on the possibility of reconciliation with the former chief minister. Asked whether the party was holding any talks with its former ally, the Bahujan Samaj Party for the coming Assembly elections, he said no such talks were on at the moment. "The possibility of any alliance between the two estranged parties was very remote as both had conflicting vote banks," he said. Gupta ruled out raising the Ram temple issue during the Assembly polls next year saying 'this time we are going to raise new issues - those which can drive people crazy'. On the charge that he was paying more attention to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activities than public concerns, the former RSS leader said, "The public is not divorced from the RSS. The ideology of the RSS is that of the people. It is the cultural ideology of this country, recognised and accepted by every citizen."
