Uma Bharti to take 'sanyas' from politicsRahul Singh in Bhopal Former Union minister and Bharatiya Janata Party member of Parliament Uma Bharti Monday announced her decision to take "sanyas" from politics and resign from the Lok Sabha as well as from the national executive of the party. Uma Bharti, sources said, has sent her resignation to the Lok Sabha speaker with a copy to Home Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani, her political mentor. She will, however, remain a primary member of the party. Uma Bharati, known for her fiery speeches, faded from the political scene of Madhya Pradesh after she abruptly withdrew her agitation for reinstatement of sacked daily-wage workers. Political observers feel that at a time when every single vote in Parliament matters to the BJP, its senior leaders will try their best to persuade Uma Bharti to change her mind. Sources close to Bharti, however, said she plans to vanish from Delhi soon.
