SC rejects Chandraswami plea

E-Mail this report to a friend

The Supreme Court dismissed on Wednesday an application by godman Chandraswami, prime accused in the Lakhubhai Pathak cheating case, seeking permission to go abroad for two months for medical treatment.

The application was dismissed by a three-judge bench comprising Justices B N Kirpal, G B Patnaik and V N Khare.

''The trial in the cheating case is coming to an end and we do not think it proper to entertain the application at this stage,'' the judges observed.
