Civil secretariat attacked, panic in J&K

Five security jawans were critically injured as militants attacked the civil secretariat in Srinagar around 1030 hours today.

Scores of ministers and top officials had a miraculous escape. The militants used rifle grenades and assault rifles in the attack, officials sources said.

The attack has sent panic waves in the state administration as the civil secretariat is one of the most heavily guarded buildings in Jammu and Kashmir.
