NMC, NCW to probe attack against nun

The National Minorities Commission and the National Commission for Women are to conduct a joint probe into last week's attack on a nun in Chhapra district of Bihar.

A high-level, three-member team of the two commissions will leave for Bihar tomorrow, NCW member Syeda Hameed said in New Delhi today.

Besides Hameed and Dr Poornima Advani, also of the NCW, the team will also include Professor Bawa Singh, vice-chairman of the National Minorities Commission.

A report will be prepared soon after their return from Bihar, Hameed said.
