S D Sharma hospitalised

Former president S D Sharma was admitted to a hospital in New Delhi after he fainted at home while doing puja this morning, according to his personal staff.

Doctors at the Escorts Heart Research Institute, where he is being treated, said the condition of Dr Sharma was stable and there was no cause for concern.

He was admitted at the institute at 0920 hours, they said.

In July this year, Dr Sharma was treated at the institute after suffering a heart attack.
