Monsoon continues in coastal Andhra

Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the plains of west Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh during the next 48 hours.

The southwest monsoon was active in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in Rayalaseema and coastal Karnataka, at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, the plains of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Kerala, at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, the Bihar plateau, hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada, Vidarbha, north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, central Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in west Rajasthan and Saurashtra and Kutch. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at many places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakashadweep, at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, west Rajasthan, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Gujarat.
