Militants take 2 IB, 4 CRPF men hostage in J&K

Extremists attacked a outpost of the security forces located in a house at Handwara in northern Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir and took six persons hostage.

The extremists attacked the house with rockets and automatic weapons before storming in and seized two Intelligence Bureau officers and four personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force.

The army has cordoned off the house. Further details are awaited.
