Subject: Awesome Real Audio Trail

Congratulations for the real audio of the Shiv Sena and Congress cassettes. Please include entertaining speeches by Thackeray and Vajpayee.

Subject: Amartya Sen wants Manmohan Singh as PM

What does Amartya Sen know about India and what India needs? He has not mentioned compulsory family planning. This is what India needs -- less Indians. In Bengal, Jyoti Basu and his gang have taken prime land in Calcutta for their own private development and retirement residual incomes, no wonder he wants land reforms.

Subject: Sam Maneckshaw

Field Marshall Maneckshaw has very good insight into the motivations of human beings. Indeed he must have got his coveted Field Marshall from Indira because he knew that she was hypocritical. She always had her self interest at heart over national concerns. This fear of being revealed, particularly vis a vis her role in creating Bangladesh must have been her survival wisdom at work.

Subject: Sunil and Sanjay

If you are saying that putting Sanjay in jail was a set up. No one would believe that. Anyway, the way you managed the release of your son proved that the law exists for crimes committed by common people and not by you and your son. Don't worry, there are poor and illiterate people who take you for face value.

Subject: EVMs

Thanks for the informative article. It was not clear to me if there is any storage taking place in a Hard Disk. Is there a process that records the event of an individual registering his or her vote. Would that need the photo identity card? If the card is required then the EV mechanism is not yet a fully automated system, as the cards have not fully distributed throughout India. I am also interested to know of the machines are upgradable to a fully networked system. Would it be possible to provide more information on that?

It is good to know that it is a product of a PSU and is being put to good use.

Subject: Pathological anti-BJPism by Arvind Lavakare

Lavakare's informative article on the Telecom policy of the Vajpayee government clearly brings out the following:

Nationally respected papers like The Hindu have become the mouth piece of Sonia's Congress and what is left of the Communist parties. The incident of the attorney general quoted by Lavakare confirms the view held by me as well as a large group of my friends who have been readers of The Hindu for years. We expect from the editorial board unbiased reporting and balanced views for which the paper was once famous. Right now our country on which an expensive and unaffordable election has been imposed by Sonia's Congress and her cohorts, the least we expect from this national daily is to go back to its glorious days so that people can diligently cast their votes and elect a government that lasts.

We can't expect much from television channels since they thrive only on controversies that too involving the BJP. I think in fairness the channels never made a secret of their intentions!

Unless the BJP government, if it comes into power again, improves on their performance in the field of PR, effective handling of bureaucracy and internal discipline they will continue to face statements from people like Govindacharya and Sibal, reeling out secret letters purported to have been written by some brigadier etc.
