Vajpayee rules out rolling back diesel price hike

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has ruled out the possibility of rolling back the diesel price hike.

Talking to newsmen after a 75-minute parliamentary party meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party in New Delhi today, Vajpayee said the government has not taken any decision to roll back the diesel price hike. ''There is no proposal to change the 35 per cent hike,'' he clarified.
