Three AK rifles, seven magazines, 45 rounds of ammunition, one grenade launcher and one wireless set were recovered.

In Ganderbal, troops killed six foreign militants during nightlong clashes at Chuntimulla Warsum. The encounter started when militants fired upon a patrol. Six AK rifles, 12 magazines and 229 rounds were recovered from the site.

An army vehicle was blown up when militants detonated a powerful improvised explosive device, planted in a three-wheeler at Nudreshi colony, on the outskirts of Srinagar. Two soldiers and two civilians died on the spot. Two others were wounded critically.
