Terrorist outfit threatens bombing campaign unless Sharief is reinstated

E-Mail this report to a friend

The newly-surfaced Al Nawaz terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the second explosion to rock Pakistan in 48 hours and threatened nationwide strikes till deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief is reinstated.

The blasts in Hyderabad (Sindh) on Monday left several people injured.

In a letter faxed to the Jang late Tuesday night, the terrorist organisation, which earlier claimed to have had set off the bomb that killed eight people in the walled city of Lahore on Saturday, said it would continue to strike throughout the country till the government of ''our great leader'' Nawaz Sharief is restored.

''Any person and any city can be our next target,'' the message warned. The organisation demanded immediate release of Sharief from 'unlawful detention'.
