E-Mail this report to a friend

Rail traffic was affected when eleven tanker compartments of a goods train caught fire between Abhamau and Nagnia stations of Ratlam division of Madhya Pradesh this morning. Railway sources said the tankers carrying super kerosene, high speed diesel and aviation turbine fuel from Baroda derailed and subsequently collided with each other.

All passenger trains were being diverted via Bhopal, sources added. Senior administrative officials have rushed to the spot. The villagers residing in the adjoining areas were shifted to other places as a precautionary measure.
