ULFA militant held

A hardcore United Liberation Front of Asom militant was apprehended in a joint operation conducted by the Meghalaya and Assam police yesterday.

The militant identified as Jumi Kakati belonged to the women's wing of the outfit. She was arrested from Manikgang Hill of East Garo Hill bordering Assam, the police said today.

A secret map tracing the route from Manikganj to Guwahati was also seized from her possession, the police said.
