Moily should take political sanyas: Lok Shakti

E-Mail this report to a friend

The Lok Shakti in Karnataka today demanded that former chief minister and Congress leader Veerappa Moily take political sanyas until he was absolved in the Jharkand Mukti Morcha MPs bribery case.

Lok Shakti secretary B J Puttaswamy told the media that Moily, who is on bail in the case, had no right to criticise Union Commerce Minister and Lok Shakti leader Ramakrishna Hegde.

He said the court had never passed strictures against Hegde.

He also demanded the resignation of state Major and Medium Industries Minister B L Shankar as strictures had been passed against him by a court in a land grabbing case.

He alleged that Shankar, who was a confidant of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, had shifted his loyalty to Chief Minister J H Patel, to grab power.
