Rains bring day temperatures to normal

Rain or thundershowers are likely to fall at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Orissa, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, interior Orissa, Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, north Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers fell at most places in Gangetic West Bengal and at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep, at a few places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and north interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Orissa, Jammu & Kashmir, west Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Kashmir. They were markedly below normal in some parts of Bihar and appreciably below normal in north Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Haryana, Punjab, east Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Day temperatures were below normal in north Gujarat, south interior Karnataka and in some parts of Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu and the remaining parts of Haryana.

They were normal in the rest of the country barring Arunachal Pradesh from where data were sparse.
