E-Mail this report to a friend

At least 64 Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended Tuesday evening by the Border Security Force from Alla mai di kothi, a border outpost in Jammu's R S Pura sector.

A BSF spokesman said that all the arrested were attempting to cross over to Pakistan. There were 29 men, 23 women and 12 children. No arms were recovered from them, the spokesman added.

The arrested have been handed over to the local police for interrogation.

The spokesman said during the past month BSF troops have apprehended over 250 Bangladeshi nationals trying illegally to cross over.
