Heat wave in parts of Haryana, RajasthanHeavy rains are likely at isolated places in Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours. Heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Haryana and north Rajasthan. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and were above normal in parts of Tamil Nadu. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, and were below normal in parts of Orissa and Kerala. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh from where the data were sparse. Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in south interior Karnataka, Kerala and at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Himachal Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Orissa, in the plains of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, west Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar plateau, in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh and Marathwada. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
