More showers in South India

Heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Bihar plateau, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and northwest Rajasthan.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in parts of coastal Orissa and east Madhya Pradesh, and were above normal in interior Orissa and in parts of west Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and central Maharashtra.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka and Kerala and were below normal in Tamil Nadu and in parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Gujarat region.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where the data were sparse.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
