Pakistan stance on CTBT 'not linked to India's'

Pakistan's position on signing the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty is not tied to India's stance but Islamabad would keep its options open, a foreign ministry spokesman in Islamabad has said.

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee said last week that India may not be able to sign the CTBT as it would be improper for his country to make commitments before the coming general elections.
