South in for heavy showersHeavy rains are likely at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours. Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of east Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. Heat wave conditions also prevailed in parts of Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Vidarbha and south interior Karnataka. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in parts of central Maharashtra and were above normal in the remaining parts of Rajasthan and of Saurashtra and in parts of Telangana. They were appreciably below normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and coastal Tamil Nadu and were below normal in Sikkim and in parts of Kutch. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and north interior Karnataka from where the data were sparse. Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Kerala, at many places in Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and coastal Karnataka, and at isolated places in central Maharashtra and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunchal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, south central Maharashtra and north interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Orissa, Bihar plateau, hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, southeast Madhya Pradesh, south Konkan- Goa, north central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.
