Congress shows interest in CTBT

The Congress Thursday said it was ready to discuss signing the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty with the government if there was a time limit for its approval.

Senior Congress leader Sharad Pawar said his party could play a constructive role on issues related to greater national interest, including connected with the World Trade Organisation.

He called upon the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government to discuss such issues with the Congress and other political parties and take a collective decision.
