After the transfers, the promotionsIn yet another major administrative reshuffle, the government today transferred nine Indian Administrative Service officers while promoting some of them and partially modified its order yesterday relating to seniormost IAS officer P R Das Gupta of the 1963 batch. Das Gupta will now take charge as secretary, rural development, replacing Dr P L Sanjeeva Reddy, who has been shifted to the Planning Commission as adviser, according to an official announcement. Arun Kumar (Kerala cadre, 1965) has been appointed chairman, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority. Ashok Kumar (Jammu & Kashmir, 1965) has been appointed secretary, department of official languages. Divakar Dev (Uttar Pradesh, 1966) has been appointed chairman and managing direction of the Rural Electrification Corporation and will be upgraded to the pay scale of secretary. D P Bagchi (Orissa, 1966) has been appointed adviser, Planning Commission, in the rank and pay of secretary. Ajay Shankar (Madhya Pradesh, 1966) has been appointed director general of the Archaeological Survey of India and upgraded to the rank and pay of secretary. K V Imiraya (Karnataka, 1966) has been appointed to the Development Commission for Small-Scale Industries in the rank and pay of secretary. Rangan Dutta (Assam, 1966) has been appointed director general, CAPART, in the rank and pay of secretary. A K Kundra (Punjab, 1966) has been appointed development commissioner for the NOIDA export promotion zone and upgraded to the rank and pay of secretary. Devi Dayal, (UP, 1966) has been appointed secretary (co-ordination and public grievances) in the Cabinet Secretariat. UNI |
