Bihar assembly adjourned thrice over Jehanabad massacre

The Bihar assembly was today adjourned thrice today following tumultuous scenes on the issue of massacre of 35 people in Jehanabad district on Thursday last.

As the house sat for the day, the entire opposition trouped to the well and started raising anti-government slogans and demanding the chief minister's resignation in connection with the carnage.

Speaker Deo Narayan Yadav had to adjourn the house after transacting business for nearly 15 minutes as the members refused to relent and maintain silence.

Deputy Speaker Jagbandhu Adhakari later adjourned the house again twice. The speaker was holding a meeting with the leaders of different political parties on various matters.
