Himachal in for some cooling

Rain or snow is likely at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, and at a few places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Punjab and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, north Rajasthan, southeast Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in parts of the Bihar plateau, plains of west Uttar Pradesh and northwest Madhya Pradesh, and were below normal in parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar plains and east Uttar Pradesh.

They were appreciably above normal in parts of Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, northwest Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha.

They were above normal in Kerala and in parts of Telengana.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir from where data were sparse.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in north Rajasthan and in parts of north Madhya Pradesh, and were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, southwest Rajasthan, north central Maharashtra, Vidarbha and in parts of Assam, Meghalaya, the Bihar plateau, and north interior Karnataka.

They were above normal in Orissa, Punjab, south central Maharashtra, Kerala, and in parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Telengana.

They were below normal in parts of Saurashtra and Kutch, and were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh from where data were sparse.
