Vajpayee, Advani seek Satya Saibaba's blessings

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Home Minister L K Advani, Human Resource Development Minister Murali Manohar Joshi and Lok Sabha Speaker G M C Balayogi were among the dignitaries who visited Satya Saibaba in New Delhi Friday.

Many other VIPs, including former Lok Sahha Speaker Shivraj Patil and Chief Justice A S Anand, were among the 100,000-odd devotees who thronged to see Satya Saibaba since Thursday, sources said.

Vice-President Krishan Kant is scheduled to visit Satya Saibaba Saturday.

The prime minister and the home minister also attended the inauguration of the Sai International Centre at Lodhi Road in South Delhi this morning. Satya Saibaba inaugurated the centre.

More than 4,000 workers of the Sai Seva Dal, mostly drawn from the northern region, are looking after the security and other arrangements of Satya Saibaba and his devotees.

Satya Saibaba, who arrived in New Delhi Thursday after 17 years, will stay in the capital till March 14. He will meet devotees at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium between 1600 hours and 1630 hours every day.
