Rabri faces crisis

E-Mail this report to a friend

The Rabri Devi government in Bihar is already facing a crisis with six independent MLAs supporting the government expressing their displeasure on not being included in the council of ministers.

The MLAs said yesterday that they might reconsider their decision to support the government.

Independent MLAs Ramchandra Prasad Singh and Tarkeshwar Singh said the government had deprived them of their participation in the state's development.

Both the legislators said the other four independent MLAs, Saligram Yadav, Zoya Manjhi, Prahlad Yadav and Rajballav Yadav were also unhappy over the Rashtriya Janata Dal's decision.

The RJD has 150 members in the 324-member state assembly and is supported by six Revolutionary Communist Party MLAs, six Independents and one nominated member.

Meanwhile, Awadesh Kumar Singh, a minister of state who could not take the oath yesterday, disclosed that he did not have any information about the oath.

Singh said, ''I was here (in Patna). But no one informed me about my name being in the council of ministers list.'' However he expressed his full faith in the RJD leadership.
